We start the day with a visit to a beautifully designed and appointed cellar door that is privately owned and operated. POTTERY & CERAMIC ART EXPERIENCE

Explore the world of pottery and ceramic art with Master Potter, Ian Beniston. Working from his Sensei Pots Studio Gallery in the north of the Cape region, Ian has worked as a professional potter for 40 years. Known for his lustrous copper red glazes, decorative art pieces and sophisticated tableware, Ian is highly regarded for the exceptional quality of his craftsmanship, use of bold colour, texture and timeless clean lines.

During this exclusive 75 minute experience, you’ll step beyond the gallery into the studio where Ian will share insights into his creative process and the art of making works from clay - from throwing and firing, to the technical art of glaze making.

Following the studio tour, guests will have an opportunity to peruse the gallery.

The quintessential Margaret River wine experience exploring the intricacies of Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

This historical tour takes you on an exploration of Margaret River wine at Vasse Felix. Your experience begins with a walking tour of the region’s oldest vines, planted in 1967 by pioneer and Vasse Felix founder Dr Tom Cullity.

After your stroll through the old vines, you’ll gain exclusive access inside The Vault - home of the historic Vasse Felix wine museum - for this special private tasting featuring Margaret River’s leading varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Soak in the cellar surrounds while your host guides you through current vintages of the Vasse Felix Wine Collection, sharing insights into these varieties, including folklore surrounding the region’s first Cabernet (the 1972 Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon), age ability and cellaring advice. Your cellar experience will conclude with a tasting of a back vintage Vasse Felix Cabernet and Chardonnay selected for your enjoyment by our Estate Sommelier.

You will tour the Leeuwin Art Gallery and discover the compelling collection of contemporary Australian artworks that feature on the winery’s iconic ‘Art Series’ labels. Peruse the artworks at your leisure and learn about the renowned Leeuwin Concert Series, featuring alfresco performances from the world’s leading musicians and entertainers.
